I guess we are the same age or something; because I did the same think except for the fact that I couldn't get hold of the music....I listened to all the mank bands from Manchester, Joy Division, Ian Drury and the Blockheads, etc. My motto back then was Get your elbow out of the soup you are sitting on the chicken!

Christine, I love this. Home to me is where I feel connected. When I feel connected to something, I therefore care about it and want to take care of it. I feel connected to the local village of Waimea in Kauai. It makes me want to recycle and pick up trash and feed the chickens, catch the ferrell cats, and watch my tomatoes and whatever else I have transplanted grow on my patio. I wonder why a person would torture themselves and stay in a place that tried so hard to spit them out. My life took a 360 degree south, I lost my son for a year, went broke, fought lies, vehemently denied, tried to protect the patients I cared about and the career I love and care about. Now I am happy. I have arrived at my haven. My son is back with me. I live on the ocean. I have a wonderful cherry job where I am loved and appreciated. I have flourished.

Fantastic. Some of which I can totally remember and relate to, so much that I could only imagined about your younger days, so much dead on, and so much revelation! Waiting for more.

I'd read this book.

As for plaid, it was seriously punk rock. l had awesome yellow and black plaid jeans that rocked my world.

I would still wear some killer plaid jeans with a black leather jacket and boots any day of the week.
